One of the most commonly encountered problems, especially among new users, is that their new mobility scooter isn't working. It can be very frustrating and worrying, because of fears that you may have spent a lot of money and bought a lemon.

However, the most common reason is that the scooter's brake hasn't been engaged properly. This is a built-in safety feature on most mobility scooters, so that you don't go driving off with your brakes in neutral mode, as you won't be able to stop on a down slope.
