Terms & Conditions of Sale

Definitions

"the Company" - Refers to Falcon Mobility Pte. Ltd.

"the Customer" - Refers to the customer that has bought the item from Falcon Mobility Pte. Ltd.

"the Product" - Refers to the item purchased from the Company

"On-Site" - Describes warranty whereby the Company is responsible for transportation of the defective product between the Customer's premises (within Singapore only) and the Company's service centre for repairs.

"Carry-In" - Describes warranty whereby the Customer is responsible for transportation of the defective product between the Customer's premises and the Company's service centre for repairs.

All purchases from Falcon Mobility Pte. Ltd. or its authorised resellers within Singapore are governed by the Terms and Conditions listed below. By paying for the purchase, the Customer agrees to these Terms and Conditions.

(A) GENERAL TERMS

  1. The Company reserves the right to update these Term and Conditions at any point in time, without giving prior notice to the Customer.

(B) LIABILITY

  1. Falcon Mobility Pte. Ltd. will not be held liable for any damage done to any property or injury to the Customer or other persons due to accident, misuse or malfunction of the Product.

  2. In the event of malfunction due to manufacturing defects, the Company's only responsibility will be to restore the Product to working condition, provided that the Product's warranty period has not expired, and subject to the limitations of its warranty policy. The Company will under no circumstances be held liable for compensation for any kind of injury to any persons or damage to any property. 

 

    (C) ORDER CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

    1. These terms only apply to products bought directly from Falcon Mobility Pte. Ltd., and not to purchases made through other authorised resellers. Customers who have bought through a reseller need to go back to the same reseller for any order cancellation request.

    2. With the exception of Metal Ramps, orders can only be cancelled and refunded before the goods are delivered. Once the Product has been delivered and fully paid for, it is not Refundable or Exchangeable for other Products.

    3. For Metal Ramps, the Company allows Customers to pay for the Ramp first, and return it for a full refund within 2 working days, provided the ramp has not been dirtied and original packaging is still intact. If Delivery was required, only the cost of the Product will be refunded, but not the Delivery charge. 

    4. If the goods received are damaged or defective, please refer to the relevant Warranty section below related to the Product purchased.
      a) Motorised Wheelchairs and Mobility Scooters
      b) Manual Wheelchairs and Rollators
      c) Portable Wheelchair Ramps
      d) Replacement Batteries and Chargers
      e) Post-Warranty Repairs

    (D) WARRANTY - MOTORISED WHEELCHAIRS AND MOBILITY SCOOTERS

    1. Unless otherwise stated, standard warranty provided for motorised wheelchairs and mobility scooters is 1 year ON-SITE for the motor, electronics, metal frame and gearbox/transaxle, and 6 months for the batteries. Any other component is considered wear-and-tear and not covered under warranty.

    2. Extended warranty, if purchased, will be provided on the same terms and cover the same components as standard warranty, but will not cover batteries.

    3. In order for a battery warranty claim to be valid, its capacity must fall below 60% of its rated capacity within 6 months of purchase. The Company must be allowed to inspect and test the battery before the battery will be replaced.

    4. Only the remaining unused portion of the original battery's warranty shall be applied to the new replacement battery.

    5. Wear-and-tear components not covered under warranty include:
      a. Seat upholstery and cushions
      b. Armpads
      c. Tyres
      d. Paintwork
      e. Rust on metal parts
      f. Handgrips (Scooters only)
      g. Baskets (Scooters only)
      h. Plastic covers
      i. Accessories
      j. Any other component not stated in point (1) above.

    6. An increase in operating noise from the transaxle/gearbox DOES NOT constitute a failure. With wear and tear, an increase in operational noise is to be expected. Warranty does not apply in such situations.

    7. If a Product has been repaired or replaced under warranty, only the remaining unused portion of the original Product's warranty shall apply.

    8. Warranty will be VOIDED if;
      a
      . The Product has been modified without prior approval from The Company.
      b. Break down is due to accident, exposure to heavy rain, or improper use of the Equipment.
      c. Batteries have not been charged according to manufacturer instructions.

    9. The Terms and Conditions stated here supersede any warranty term stated by the original manufacturer of the Product.

    (E) WARRANTY - MANUAL WHEELCHAIRS AND ROLLATORS

    1. Standard warranty provided for manual wheelchairs and rollators is 1 year CARRY-IN for the metal frame only. Any other component is considered wear-and-tear and not covered under warranty.

    2. Wear-and-tear components not covered under warranty include:
      a. Seat upholstery and cushions
      b. Armpads
      c. Tyres
      d. Paintwork
      e. Rust on metal parts
      f. Carry Bags
      g. Baskets or Shopping Bags
      h. Seat or backrest padding
      i. Any other component not stated in point (1) above

    3. If a Product has been repaired or replaced under warranty, only the remaining unused portion of the original Product's warranty shall apply.

    4. Warranty will be VOIDED if;
      a. 
      The Product has been modified without prior approval from The Company.
      b. 
      Break down is due to accident, or improper use of the Equipment.

    5. The Terms and Conditions stated here supersede any warranty term stated by the original manufacturer of the Product.

    (F) WARRANTY - PORTABLE WHEELCHAIR RAMPS

    1. Warranty period for portable wheelchair ramps made of metal is 1 year against breakage of the ramp only. All other components are considered wear-and-tear and not covered under warranty. Warranty is not provided for wooden ramps.

    2. Wear-and-tear components not covered under warranty include:

      a. Carry Handles
      b. Anti-slip surfaces
      c. Warning tapes
      d. Rust on nuts, bolts and screws
      e. Any other component not stated in point (1) above.

    3. If a Product has been repaired or replaced under warranty, only the remaining unused portion of the original Product's warranty shall apply.

    4. Warranty will be VOIDED if;
      a. The ramp is used to handle loads above its rated weight capacity.
      b. Break down is due to accident, or improper use of the ramp.

    5. The Terms and Conditions stated here supersede any warranty term stated by the original manufacturer of the Product.

    (G) WARRANTY - REPLACEMENT BATTERIES AND CHARGERS

    1. Standard warranty provided for replacement batteries is 6 months, on CARRY-IN basis. For chargers, warranty is 1 year, on CARRY-IN basis.

    2. In order for a battery warranty claim to be valid, its capacity must fall below 60% of its rated capacity within 6 months of purchase. The Company must be allowed to inspect and test the battery before the battery will be replaced.

    3. Only the remaining unused portion of the original battery or charger's warranty shall apply to the new replacement battery or charger.

    4. If the Product warranty has expired, and changing batteries and/or charger does not solve the problem, additional repair charges will apply if the Company is engaged to diagnose and/or rectify the problem.

    5. The Terms and Conditions stated here supersede any warranty term stated by the original manufacturer of the Product.

    (H)  POST-WARRANTY REPAIRS

    1. This section applies to repairs which are performed by the Company after the Product's original warranty has expired.

    2. After a defect is rectified, the Company will provide 1 month CARRY-IN warranty against the SAME defect. Warranty will not be provided against different defects which surface within 1 month, and additional repair charges will apply if the Company is engaged to diagnose and/or rectify the problem.

    3. If the same defect surfaces within 1 month,
      a) The Company will provide the labour necessary to rectify the problem.
      b) The Customer will be responsible for transporting the product to and from the Company's service centre.
      c) If there are additional parts that need to be changed, the Customer will have to pay for the part. However, the Company will quote the price of the part and obtain approval from the Customer before proceeding with the repair.

    4. If the Product has been significantly modified by other parties, or was not purchased from the Company or its authorised resellers, the Company reserves the right to decline requests to provide repair services.
