I wrote in my 2nd Feb blog post that the confiscation of an e-scooter belonging to a lady who was riding illegally in Sengkang would only be the 1st of many enforcement actions that will follow.
True enough, less than 1 month after that first case, LTA announced that it has impounded more than 100 PMDs for various offences, mostly for riding on the roads.
Please remember, your mobility scooters and motorised wheelchairs belong on the pavement, cycling paths or shared paths. They are NOT to be used on the main road, unless you are crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing or zebra crossing. Otherwise, LTA may impound your vehicle!
